Police: Speeding possible in fatal overnight HV crash

Police say that speed may have played a role in an overnight crash in the Montebello section of Ramapo that claimed the life of one person, and left two others seriously injured.

Police responded to the single-car crash on Viola Road by Canterbury Lane early Wednesday morning. Fire officials say that the road had to be shut down for several hours while police conducted an accident investigation, but that everything had reopened by 7:30 a.m.

The victims are all reportedly in their late teens or early 20s.
