Police: New Rochelle mom arrested for driving high

Police say a New Rochelle mother was arrested after she drove high on prescription pills with her 18-month-old twins in the car earlier this week.

Authorities say 41-year-old Gayle Golomb was spotted by the owner of Battaglia Brothers' Deli on North Avenue slumped over the steering wheel of her car with her children in the backseat. Police say Golomb had numerous painkillers in her possession and in her system.

According to police, Golomb has been banned from having contact with her children while Child Protective Services investigates.

Golomb is due back in court April 1.
