Various remedies available for allergy sufferers

While it may not feel like spring outside, those with seasonal allergies are already suffering from head congestion and lots of sneezing.

Millions of Americans suffer from seasonal allergies to different pollens throughout the year. According to allergist Dr. Thomas Chacko, in the springtime, pollen from trees is the culprit for runny noses and watery eyes.

"At the peak of suffering from my seasonal allergies, I had to avoid the outdoors pretty much the entire spring," said Trey Gregory. After trying to control his allergies with anithistamines, decongestants and nasal sprays, he now receives monthly allergy shots.

"It's the best thing I ever did to treat my allergies, easily," said Gregory.

Dr. Chacko recommends getting a skin test by an allergy specialist to determine what you're allergic to.
