Cyber-bullying seminar held in Mt. Vernon

Concerned parents gathered Monday night at the Longfellow Elementary School in Mount Vernon for a seminar on cyber-bullying.

The event, titled "The New Faces of Bullying," was sponsored by Southern Westchester BOCES. Organizers say they aim to educate parents on the techniques used by online bullies and the effects they can have on their victims.

Event organizers say keeping parents informed about these matters is essential to protect kids from bullying.
