Suspect in deadly robbery to appear in court Thursday

A suspect in a deadly Yonkers robbery is set to appear in court tomorrow.

Police say they arrested Clemente Gomez in connection with the stabbing deaths of Tyrone Green and his girlfriend, Shaquila Roman, last September, but decided to not announce his name until now.

Detectives say they believe Gomez targeted Green, thinking he and his girlfriend were big-time drug dealers with a lot of cash on them.

Officials say they also believe Gomez did not act alone and are still looking for other suspects. Police say they are offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information is urged to call Yonkers police at 914-377-7724
