$5K reward offered for info in Yonkers double murder

The man accused of brutally stabbing a Yonkers couple to death last year appeared in court today as police continue their search for other possible suspects in the case.

Yonkers police arrested Clemente Gomez back in September for the January 2010 stabbing deaths of Tyrone Green and his girlfriend, Shaquila Roman, inside their Van Cortlandt Park Avenue apartment.

Investigators say they believe Gomez knew Green after the two had met in prison, and that Gomez possibly thought that Green and Roman were big time drug dealers who had a lot of cash in their home. Detectives say the stabbing was likely the result of a botched robbery.

Police say they are still offering $5,000 for information leading to any further arrests, as they do not believe Gomez acted alone.
