Services set for WC student killed in crash

Memorial services have been arranged for a Port Chester High School graduate who was killed in a car crash in upstate New York last week.

Gabrielle Acevedo, 21, was scheduled to graduate from Nazareth College in May. Acevedo died after being seriously injured in a car crash near the college's campus.

Investigators say that Acevedo was killed while riding as a passenger in a car driven by Danielle Pitcher, who has been charged with drunk driving and speeding.

Acevedo's mother, Ginger, says that her daughter had everything going for her, and had led a wonderful life in her 21 years.

A wake for Acevedo will be held tomorrow at the Craft Memorial Home. A funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester on Wednesday.
