Snow breaks tree trimmer's fall after 20-foot WC plunge

A professional tree trimmer is recovering in the hospital this afternoon after falling nearly 20 feet from a tree outside of a Harrison home earlier this morning.

The SavATree employee was working on a tree outside of a Kenilworth Road home when he somehow fell some 20 feet to the ground around 10 a.m.

The owner of the home, who asked to remain anonymous, says that rescue crews were unable to reach the worker with a stretcher because of all of the snow, which may have actually broken his fall.

SavATree representatives say that the worker is recovering from a serious leg injury, but that they have not been told of any injuries to his head or neck.

The company has launched an investigation into what happened.
