Police: Missing Rockland hiker found dead

Police announced that they have located the body of 47-year-old Colleen Murphy after a massive search in Rockland Lake State Park.

Officials say that they received a call from Murphy's parents in Florida after they hadn't heard from her since Sunday. They say that the last message from Murphy was that she was heading to the park to hike with her dog.

Police, search teams with dogs and helicopters scoured the park to try and locate her.

Clarkstown Detective Sgt. Tim O'Neil said in a statement that they located Murphy?s body at the bottom of a 300-foot cliff at 7:40 p.m. with assistance by the Ramapo Rescue Dog Association.
