NASA astronaut reconnects with HV hometown

A NASA astronaut reached out to kids in his native Hudson Valley and gave them a science lesson before going back into space.

Ron Garan, who grew up in Yonkers, went into space on shuttle Discovery in 2008 and is now going back to work on the International Space Station.

Garan spoke to students today at Roosevelt High School - his alma mater - via videoconference and let his audience see live video of colleagues training at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
