Rescuers working to save 2 injured hikers in Orange County

Rescuers are working to save two hikers injured after falling onto a mountain ledge in Storm King State Park.

The two brothers from Connecticut were hiking off the marked trail when one of them fell a short distance, injuring his shoulder. They both became stuck on a ledge and called for help.

A helicopter was able to spot the men, but the tough conditions on the mountain have forced the rescue to continue into the night.

Officials say they expect the two to be OK, but won't know for sure until they are both taken off the mountain.

The rescue comes only one day after another hiker was found dead in Rockland County after falling off a cliff.
