Bronx seniors may be eligible for rent cuts

Some Bronx tenants may be eligible for a rent decrease and not even know it.

Councilman James Vacca spoke with seniors and disabled people at the Bronx House Friday, educating them about the options available to freeze or cut their rent costs.

Vacca explained that there are many opportunities for both elderly and disabled tenants, but they aren't given the information they need. He says many struggle because of limited incomes and rising costs for affordable housing.
