6 train service resumes after water main break

Subway service on the 6 line has resumed after being suspended due to flooding from a water main break.

About 800,000 gallons of water spewed onto the tracks at the East 143rd Street station on Saturday morning.

The flooding suspended all trains between 138th Street and Hunts Point Avenue.

Crews worked all day Saturday and part of Sunday to clear out the water.

Commuters should expect residual delays Sunday.
