Tenants without heat in Edenwald apartment

A mother of six says her family is freezing inside their NYCHA home.

Marisol Rodrigues says she hasn't had gas or heat in her Edenwald apartment since September.

She says the building management gave her a hot plate, but it wasn't big enough to cook meals for her big family. As a result, she had to buy her own toaster oven.

Rodrigues says she has reached out to management a number of times and they said they still aren't sure when the heat and gas will be turned back on.

With the temperatures taking a nose dive this week, Rodrigues says she is now worried about the health of her children, especially because they have asthma.

Rodrigues says this isn't the first time she has lost heat. She says the same thing happened last year, and she is hoping something will be done about it soon.
