Firefighter critical after BX fire
Authorities say a member of the FDNY is in critical condition after battling a fire in Crotona Park East.
The incident took place at around 4 p.m. Friday.
A member of the FDNY says the 25-year-old firefighter stopped breathing and had a seizure while fighting the blaze on Southern Boulevard.
The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
