De Blasio, top cop debunk resignation fallout

Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton are singing each other's praises following reports of a fallout over a police chief's resignation.

The two called a press conference Sunday, criticizing the media for portraying tension in their relationship.

De Blasio called Bratton the best police chief in the country, while Bratton said that de Blasio was the best mayor he has ever worked for.

The reports come on the heels of Chief Philip Banks announcing his retirement as he was slated to become the second in command to Bratton.
