Bronx veterans march to show support for fellow vets

Despite the poor weather, Bronx veterans gathered Saturday to march in honor of fellow servicemen and women everywhere.
The one-mile march spanned from East 175th Street and Southern Boulevard to Old West Farms Soldiers Cemetery, where there was a brief ceremony to honor the fallen.
The parade also celebrated 104-year-old Grand Marshal Joe Bina, who led the procession and says he was proud to represent his community.
The newly formed Bronx Veterans Parade Task Force says the goal of the parade is to honor local veterans and raise community awareness for everything they have sacrificed.
Following the parade, participants were treated to food and drinks at Vidalia Park.
