Teen robbery suspect strikes 11 times in BX
Police are trying to track down the teenager on a six-week robbery spree in the Bronx.
Investigators released a clear surveillance image of the suspect, who they say is behind at least seven robberies and four attempted robberies in broad daylight in the Bronxdale and Olinville sections of the borough.The latest incident occurred Sunday night on East Gun Hill Road and Lurting Avenue.
According to police, the teen is targeting females, mostly teenagers, with the youngest being just 12 years old. He allegedly also tried to rob one 17-year-old male.
Authorities say he fakes having a gun or a knife, and goes for the victim's cellphone. No injuries have been reported.
