Library honors Italian heritage through Bronx artist

A local library is honoring an artist whose work pays tribute to all things Italiano in the Bronx.
The Belmont Public Library opened a new exhibit featuring artist Frank Palombo, who was the in-house artist for four past borough presidents. He says he's proud of his own Italian heritage, as well as his Bronx upbringing.
Palombo draws posters, signs and murals celebrating important occasions in the Bronx. However, the highlight for him has always been Italian Heritage Month, which is this October.
The exhibit will be open until December.
