Melrose seniors complain about lack of hot water at 950 Union Ave.
Seniors living in a Melrose building say they are boiling after having to deal with little or no hot water for months.
William Cross, a resident at 950 Union Ave., says that for three months the water has been warm for no more than four hours at a time throughout the week. He says the water is freezing on weekends.
Some of the 195 tenants say they have to warm water on their stove and then pour it into a sink or tub in order to wash themselves or their dishes.
Cross says he has called 311 numerous times and reached out to the NYCHA managing officer. A petition has also been signed by the tenants.
