Flames erupted in an apartment in Clason Park this morning, and while the owner wasn't home, there were pets inside.
The fire broke out in an apartment located at 122 Neptune Lane, in the Shore-Haven gated community. Fire officials say the flames erupted inside a bedroom.
Neighbors went into the home and rescued a dog that was inside. The fire department also rescued two other pets: a rabbit and a turtle.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
