YONKERS - Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano is starting an initiative to keep the city's parks green.

The plan is called the Leave No Trace Clean Park initiative.

Signs will be posted at Yonkers' 76 parks and playgrounds. The signs ask those who use the grounds to clean up after themselves.

All clubs and organizations that utilize the space will be asked to sign a pledge as part of the initiative.
