YONKERS - Thousands of athletes from around the country are in the Bronx for the Gaelic Games, an event that's also bringing many people to Yonkers.

Yonkers is home to a large Irish community and many people in the Bronx for the games are visiting its pubs and restaurants.

The event is the largest overseas Gaelic games tournament. The tournament is being held on Randall's Island, where athletes will compete in Irish football and other Gaelic games.

This is the 10th year the games are being held.
