GREENBURGH - The Westchester Delegation State Assembly held a public forum earlier today to discuss Gov. Cuomo's newly proposed budget.

Local lawmakers present at the meeting said the $137 billion 2014 to 2015 proposal puts a strain on their ability to serve the public.

Edward Fuhrman, Croton-Harmon School superintendent, says many school districts are financially ailing and they are becoming unsustainable.

The proposal also introduces a tax cap, which leads Mamaroneck Councilman Ernest Odierna to wonder about how they're supposed to spend their limited funds.

The legislator is still working on the budget, and it is expected to be in place by April 1.
