PEEKSKILL - Vigils were held across the Hudson Valley tonight to honor the 26 victims of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting.

In Peekskill, residents braved the cold down by the riverfront and sent warm thoughts toward Connecticut.

Earlier in the day, members of the Bethel Gospel Center in Mount Vernon marched to city hall in remembrance of the victims.

Mount Vernon Mayor Ernie Davis also made an appearance at the demonstration.
