YONKERS - Yonkers residents say they feel neglected as streets remain covered in snow a day after a storm passed through the region.

Residents have had a hard time getting out cars buried under snow and ice. One man says his bumper was damaged as he tried pulling his car out from its spot. 

"It's horrible. It's always like this," says Yonkers resident Suyapi Hernandez. "I guess they forget the side streets in Yonkers."

Yonkers DPW Commissioner Tom Meier says every street in Yonkers should have been plowed once or twice. Meier added they can't spend a lot of time on side streets because their priority is the main roads so emergency vehicles can get through.
