Residents say a massive tree came crashing down around 1:30 a.m. today on Odell Avenue by Hawley Terrace. It blocked the roadway, took down power lines, and crushed a car parked beside it.

Crews were able to quickly clear the tree from the roadway, but Con Edison crews remained on the scene to repair fallen power lines.
