SHRUB OAK - Wednesday's storm caused serious problems for drivers in northern Westchester.

News 12's John Goff was in Shrub Oak, where highway crews were putting in long hours clearing area roads. The snow turned to sleet and then to rain, making the roads slippery. 

The storm also caused delays on Metro-North, but trains were not canceled. 

A total of 6-10 inches of snow hit the area, along with a layer of icy wintry mix.
