YONKERS - A newly formed group wants a voice in Yonkers Public Schools.

The Coalition for a Better Yonkers gathered Wednesday outside the Yonkers Board of Education on Wells Avenue to ask for more transparency.

The group also has an issue with the city council possibly having to borrow $45 million to fill a school budget hole.

The coalition says that it is comprised of union members, parents and other community groups who want more of a say.

A city spokesperson says that they will continue to work with the unions.
