DIX HILLS - A private school teacher from Wheatley Heights is accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl at a supermarket.

Police say 45-year-old Gerry White followed a woman and her three children inside the C-Town Supermarket on New York Avenue in Huntington Station on March 13. He allegedly used vulgar language before touching the woman's 9-year-old daughter on her leg and upper thigh.

White, who teaches math and science at the Upper Room Christian School in Dix Hills,  was arrested at his home on Sunday following an investigation. He is being charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

Police say White also owns EZPZ Solutions, a child education business.

Investigators are asking anyone who believes they may be a victim to call 911 or the Second Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8226.
