MIDDLETOWN - An Orange County woman will spend the next two to five years in prison for leaving her newborn baby in a shopping bag.

Police say Tammi Green, 30, of Middletown, was on drugs when she gave birth to a baby girl in an apartment on Wickham Avenue in February 2013.

Police later found the infant wrapped in a shopping bag.

Green pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and is banned from seeing her child.
