CROTON POINT - In spite of it being the first day for many pools and beaches opening for the season many residents said Saturday was too cold to swim.

While many residents enjoyed walking the beach in the sun, most said it was just too cold to enjoy the water. Regardless of the chill, some brave souls enjoyed kayaking and boating.

Other neighbors flocked to county parks, many of which also opened Saturday.
