Sushi Samurai restaurant in Croton goes up in flames

CROTON - A sushi restaurant in Croton remains closed this morning after a fast-moving fire yesterday.

Fire crews arrived just after 11 a.m. yesterday and found flames shooting through the roof of Sushi Samurai on South Riverside Avenue.

Officials say it looks like the fire spread through the ventilation system as the chefs were cooking in the kitchen and preparing to open for lunch.

No one was hurt. There is no word on when the restaurant will reopen.
