Steve Baldwin pays off $400K tax bill

UPPER GRANDVIEW - Actor Stephen Baldwin was in Rockland County Courthouse in New City today where he paid off the last of a hefty sum he owed in back taxes.

The actor, who lives in Upper Grandview, paid the remaining $100,000 balance on the $400,000 owed to the District Office as part of a plea agreement made last year.

The plea agreement kept him out of jail after he pleaded guilty for failure to file his taxes. He now has been conditionally discharged by the court and for the next three years must avoid any other criminal acts.

Baldwin says he has a tremendous weight off his shoulders. "I'm looking forward to doing things the right way in the future." With this behind him now, Baldwin says he plans to stay out of trouble and will make sure he files his taxes on time.
