MOUNT VERNON - Some residents in Mount Vernon say they're still struggling in the wake of this week's snowstorms as their streets have barely been cleared.

Major streets in the city have been cleared, but people say it's a different story on the residential roads.

"It's really, really bad," says Mount Vernon resident Mercedes Allison. "The snow is piled up to your car door, you can't even get out of the car."

Residents say walking through the streets to get to their cars has been treacherous and with piles of snow everywhere, they're having a hard time finding parking spots.

News 12 Westchester was unable to get a comment from the city about the situation.
