The pilot survived a single-engine plane crash in Danbury CT.

DANBURY, CT - A pilot is lucky to be alive this morning after a small plane crash in Connecticut.

Officials say the plane was trying to land around 7:30 p.m. yesterday, but fell short of the runway at Danbury Airport.

Only the pilot was on board and he was not hurt. No one on the ground was injured either.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
