The Rockland man who admitted to beating his estranged girlfriend to death learned today that he may spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Riad Dib, 67, was sentenced to 18 years to life in the murder of 68-year-old Cecile Garbarino in her Wesley Hills home. Dib, a Syrian national, admitted to beating her to death with her own shoe in January 2013.
