DOBBS FERRY - Good food and great deals will be on the menu as "Restaurant Week" is about to hit the Hudson Valley once again.

The official kickoff to the event was held at the Half Moon restaurant in Dobbs Ferry Tuesday night.

More than 200 restaurants are participating, and there will be special three-course lunches and dinners.

One business owner says Restaurant Week has a deeper meaning than just trying out local foods. "It's extremely important this time of year, after a long winter, to bring people around and out and stimulate the economy and have a good time," says restaurant owner Bruce Bernachia.

Restaurant Week starts March 6 and ends on March 19.
