AN SUV crashed into the overpass in January, knocking thousands of pounds of rock onto the Saw Mill Parkway.

YONKERS - Work began on a section of the Odell Avenue Bridge in Yonkers on Monday.

In January, a 24-foot hole was left behind after an SUV rammed into a wall on the bridge, sending thousands of pounds of rock onto the Saw Mill Parkway.

A 60-foot concrete barrier was brought in as a temporary fix.

The repair work is expected to take about three weeks.
