RAMAPO - There's now a new way for people living in the town of Ramapo to report pothole problems.

Pothole repair crews from the Highway Department were busy yesterday on South Parker Boulevard filling in those holes caused by the terrible winter.

Now crews are getting help to do that job from people using Twitter to let town officials know about potholes in their neighborhoods.

The Twitter concept began on Feb. 25, and Ramapo's town supervisor says it's a hit. "One of the things that we wanted to do was empower people to be involved and feel better about the fact there are so many potholes, by setting up the Twitter account," says Christopher St. Lawrence.
