PUTNAM - The prosecution and defense rested their cases today in the rape trial of the Putnam County DA's former personal trainer, Alexandru Hossu.

The prosecution told the judge that they have provided more than enough evidence to prove Hossu raped a teenage girl in 2010.

The now 16-year-old girl insists that Hossu, who was her mother's live-in boyfriend at the time, violently raped her for three hours in her bedroom when she was 13.

The defense vehemently denies the rape occurred, and said the DA has not provided any evidence to support the claims.
