NEWBURGH - Investigators are examining a propane tank explosion in Newburgh yesterday evening.

The tank explosion sparked a powerful blaze at a business complex on Wisner Avenue.

Investigators say that no one was inside the complex just before 8 p.m. when the explosion occurred.

The building houses a recycling plant, Newburgh Auto Body and Hudson Valley Office Furniture.

More than 100 firefighters from several departments worked well into the evening trying to get the situation under control.
