Primrose Elementary School, Red Cross honor alumna killed in Haiti quake

Students put together care packages in honor of a former student killed in Haiti's 2010 earthquake. (2/14/13)

SOMERS - The Red Cross and Primrose Elementary School first-graders have partnered to honor a local college student who died in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

The first-graders put together child comfort kits in remembrance of Stephanie Crispinelli, a 19-year-old college student from Somers who attended Primrose as a child. Each one of the care packages contains a blanket, a signature care bear in memory of Crispinelli and a book.

The students at Primrose put together 150 comfort kits.
