Police: Mark Mullins, of Walden, dead after apparent heroin overdose

WALDEN - Heroin is believed to have claimed another life in the Hudson Valley last week.
A Walden man was found dead on March 11 following an apparent heroin overdose, according to police.
Police say Mark Mullins, 35, died after shooting up eight bags of heroin last Tuesday in his Hepper Street home.
Investigators say needles and empty heroin packs were found at the scene.
Mullins' family describes him as a caring, loving person who doted on his 5-year-old daughter. They said he had trouble coping after his brother allegedly died of a heroin overdose and his mother died from health issues.
Mullins' funeral was held Thursday night.
