YONKERS - A warning has been issued to Rockland County residents after a wild animal was spotted Saturday night.

A coyote was seen wandering near Pearl and Centre streets in Pearl River.

Police are warning residents to take precautions, and to keep small children and pets close by when outdoors.

They advise residents to remain calm if they come across a coyote, and to start making a lot of noise to scare it off.
