HIGHLAND FALLS - Police say a body was recovered from the Hudson River today in Highland Falls.

Officials say a boater found the body of a female at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday along the border of Orange and Putnam counties.

Police say the body was recovered by boat and taken to Garrison by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Police have not confirmed the identity of the body found. They also say there does not appear to be anyone who is missing that matches the description of the woman they pulled from the water.

The woman is said to be in her late 30's to early 40's with dark skin and long dark hair.
