Police arrest teen in connection with shooting on Leland Avenue and Elm Street in New Rochelle
NEW ROCHELLE - Police in New Rochelle have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a shooting that wounded one person in the leg.
The shooting occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Leland Avenue and Elm Street.
Police say a woman was shot a number of times in the leg. News 12 has learned that the shots were fired from a BB gun.

The victim was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police say the boy could face assault charges. They also say that they don’t believe the woman was the intended target.
