NYACK - You will soon have better access to watch the construction of the new Tappan Zee Bridge.

New observation platforms will be built in Nyack and Tarrytown.

In Nyack, the platform will be incorporated into a fishing pier being built at Memorial Park.

The entire structure will measure 30' x 80' and will also have binoculars along with panels explaining the construction. "On the pier will be benches, and a viewing station, which is being provided by the state, as well," says Nyack Administrator Jim Politi.
