PEARL RIVER - Police are looking for a man they say followed two 16-year-old girls in his vehicle while they were riding their bikes in Pearl River.

Investigators say the girls were followed on Ehrhardt Road as they were picking up bagels for a Mother's Day celebration at around 5:30 a.m. They say a man on the street yelled sexual questions at them, then got in a green SUV and followed them to Pearce Parkway.

Police say the man waved to them and didn't attempt to further contact them, but the girls were still shaken up.

The incident comes after a string of other suspicious incidents involving strangers trying to lure children in Rockland County.

At the end of April, there were two separate incidents where a dark-skinned middle-aged man driving a white BMW approached two young boys on Phillips Lane in West Nyack.

On Monday, police say a man in his 40s approached children at Highview Elementary School in Nanuet and yelled at them to come to him.
