Patricio Guartan-Jimenez, of Spring Valley, charged with biting man’s nose off during fight

PEEKSKILL - A Spring Valley man has been arrested for allegedly biting off a large portion of another man's nose during a fight.

Peekskill police say they arrested Patricio Guartan-Jimenez after he bit the man's nose during a brawl at a party on Smith Street this weekend.

Guartan-Jimenez has been charged with felony assault and was taken to Westchester County Jail.

The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center and is expected to be OK.

Officials say it is not clear whether the victim's nose can be reattached, but police say he will probably need reconstructive surgery.
